I of course had planned to write about this on the very first day of the year just like everyone else. Alas, I was defeated! On the eve of New Year’s eve, I caught a stomach bug which lasted for 4 days and before I knew it, the first working Monday was upon me. Anyway, let’s not dwell further on the past and focus on the future shall we?
1. Drink More Water
I find it rather difficult to drink water especially during winter. Since the beginning of 2016, I have successfully drink at least 1.5 litre of water every day. Let’s hope this good practice continues.
2. Buy Less, Choose Wisely
This is a continuation from 2015. I am quite pleased that my purchasing power and purchasing habits have an inverse relationship in the last few years. Compared to my habits in my 20s when I would just buy, buy, buy. I was consumed with the idea that more is better, I am certainly buying less these days. I have replaced quantity with quality, which means that while the spending amount has not necessarily reduced, the pieces last longer and I don’t have to shop as frequently.
3. Rotate My Palettes
Those who know me would know that my number one weakness when it comes to beauty item is eye shadow palettes. I have quite a number of them, and rather than keep reaching out to the same one, I intend to rotate my palettes on a weekly basis. This would not only forces me to make use of all the palettes in my collection, but also be creative on the looks and colour combination that I create.
4. Schedule Blogging
To be honest, putting this in writing is quite scary, because, what if I can’t deliver my commitment? But then if I don’t commit myself to it, chances are I will not do it! So let’s hope 2016 will be the year that I will post one blog a week, at the weekend.
5. Increasing My Spiritual Commitment
This is some how similar to No 4. My life is pretty much on a scheduled-basis – full time work Monday-Friday; piano lessons every Tuesday, pilates on Thursdays and boot camps on Saturdays. So it is only fair that I commit one day a week to focus on the spiritual aspects.
There, I have said it.
I hope you all have had a great start to the new year and may all your dreams and wishes come true. Let’s rock 2016 peeps! x
